If a figure looks wrong, please say what you had in each field, which time scale the chart was on, and what you expected. That is almost always enough to reproduce it.

Frequently asked questions

What does “per market day” mean? It is the day count the rate is compounded over. A US market year is about 252 open days, not 365, so a gain earned per trading day compounds 252 times a year rather than every day on the calendar. Accrue lets you read the same rate either way, and shows what each comes to.

Why is the annual figure so much larger than the daily one? Because it compounds. 0.300% a day over 252 market days is 75.60% simple, but 112.73% once each day’s gain earns its own gain. That gap is the whole subject of the app.

Is the rate a prediction? No. Accrue projects one scenario — the rate you typed, held every single day. No strategy does that, and the app makes no claim that any rate is achievable. It is a tool for seeing what compounding does, not a forecast.

Does it fetch prices or connect to a broker? No. There is no networking code in the app at all. Everything is arithmetic on the numbers you enter, and it works with no signal.

Why does the chart’s time scale matter? Compounding is slow at the start and steep at the end, so a year read in years is a single point and a year read in days is 252. Changing the scale changes how the same projection is read — the balance never moves.

Some scales are greyed out. A term can only be cut so fine before the chart has more buckets than it has points to draw them in. Those scales stay in the menu, disabled, so the list doesn’t change length between one opening and the next. Shorten the term and they come back.

Does the app remember my figures? Yes — it opens on whatever you left in it, kept on your phone and nowhere else.

What do the tips do? Nothing, deliberately. They support development. Every feature is free, and no tip unlocks anything.
